I love my Altwork Station, So happy with all its functions, Makes my job easier!
I would recommend this desk to anyone! i looked for quite so time and could not find
anything that came close to it!!
I know I can't make medical claims, but I have reduced my scheduled appointments with my Chiropractor to only maintenance appointments. I can now easily enjoy a full, focused day of work that would leave me tired, stiff, and sore previously. I have zero regrets for this investment and the ease of use for changing positions from standing to sitting, reclining and more are better than I imagined. I have tried many previous chairs including Aeron, stand-up desks, and more, but this wins above all. The investment will easily be recouped with increased productivity, savings on appointments, and I can't even explain the joy of looking at such a wonderfully designed piece of furniture.
Thank you Altwork for creating this personal space in our work and creative lives.
I was excited to find a work station that would allow me to work from standing, seated, and reclining positions, and the Altwork station has not disappointed! I have had my station for about a month and a half, and so far it has allowed me to work longer hours despite my back condition, as I can adjust position many times throughout the day. My only complaints are that I wish the seat was wider (like the back rest), and that the back, and especially seat cushioning was more substantial. I feel like my body hangs over the side(s) of the seats just a bit and the seat (and to some degree back rest) can feel a bit hard after sitting in them for prolonged periods, as there isn't a lot of padding. The headrest is adjustable, which is really helpful, although I wish it came forward just a bit more, as I find myself having to lift my head while lying back to see where to reach for the mouse, position my hands on the keyboard, etc. That being said, overall, I like it quite a bit! Watching the unit being set up, I was so glad that I got the installation option, as it was quite intricate to assemble! These units are definitely an investment, but if you work from home a lot, and especially if you have medical issues or injuries that impact your ability to sit for long periods, the Altwork station is definitely worth considering.
I am very happy with my new Altwork station. My productivity has increased and my body feels fine. It really feels like quality and the support is good.
It takes some time to find out how to use it and find the best positions. It didn’t work with Apples mouse, it was to heavy and fell off even with the dedicated magnetic thing. Now I use Apples trackpad instead, works fine. I would prefer if the sockets were local, now a lot of adapters must be used (in Sweden) with makes it look something like a birds nest, but it’s not a big problem.
The one problem I have is to reach the Macbook to use the fingerprint reader in the bar on top of the keyboard. It’s about 20 cm too far away in reclined positions.
It would be nice if the artwork could do multiple movements simultaneously, it takes a bit to long to go from fully reclined to home.
I have had my Signature Altwork station now for almost a month and I absolutely love it! I had been looking at it for many years, but always hesitated because of the price. After having another knee surgery and recent back issues, I decided to go ahead and reach out. Jeff was incredibly helpful with all my questions before I purchased, and after it arrived. I can’t believe I waited so long! I can adjust it a lot or just a little when I am working if I start to get uncomfortable being in a static position. I no longer have to get up and walk around every 30 minutes or so. I do, however, wish the table was larger because I use a full wireless keyboard, along with a Wacom tablet, and I had to get a smaller tablet to fit on the table. Other than that, I would not change a thing! It is very well made and looks beautiful in my home office. The dogs love it because now they can get up on my lap while I am working. I highly recommend this product, along with the support from the team at Altwork.
