Great things happen when personal and professional passions collide. Our founders, Che and John, are aerospace engineers who spent decades creating innovative solutions to complex problems. Using their lived experiences with chronic pain as a guide, they decided to tackle the toughest and most personal challenge they’ve faced — making pain-free work possible.

Our Mission
We create the conditions for peak human output so the work doesn't cost you the day.
Our goal is to empower high-intensity computer users to be more productive and creative through greater workplace comfort and health. We know a workstation won’t put a human on Mars, stop climate change, or cure cancer. Our hope is that we can provide a tool that will help the people accomplishing world-changing feats to get there faster by making them more productive and comfortable in their work.
We believe it’s time to move beyond obsolete tables and chairs that constrain our creativity and diminish our health.
We believe it’s time computers adapt to us, instead of challenging our bodies to adapt to them.
We believe it’s time for a new way to work.
“Altwork workstations are the result of over 80,000 hours of engineering. We went far beyond an alternative ‘ergonomic’ chair and embarked on a design-centric rethinking of the way humans and their computers interact."
- Che Voigt, Co-Founder of Altwork
