Sales organizations on every continent asked to represent our workstation and hundreds of pre-orders have inspired us. We’ve had articles in nearly every major media and online outlet. We’ve been invited in to some of the top companies in the world to demonstrate the Altwork Station.

 

PURCHASING SPECIALISTS

We are looking for a Production Control Lead who will be able to manage an excel based production control and MRP system to provide demand management and materials forecast which drive purchasing activities.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Purchasing parts from suppliers, both direct fab and COTS as well as indirect
  • Negotiating price and terms with suppliers
  • May use and maintain excel based purchase order tracking system
  • May use Quick books for PO entry
  • Source new suppliers (machine turning, machining, weldments, coating)
  • Execute change orders
  • Support engineering with part cost reduction initiatives
  • Follow up on orders
  • Expedite orders, including serial processing of parts
  • May help source and implement MRP system

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Five + years’ experience as a senior level buyer
  • APICS certified
  • Experienced use of purchased MRP systems and/or manual/in-house MRP systems
  • Contract Negotiation
  • Part sourcing
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Must be well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Intermediate Excel User
  • Familiarity with Quick books, preferred
  • Familiarity with production methods (machining, castings, moldings, weldments, coatings)
  • Valid Driver’s License

PRODUCTION CONTROL PLANNER

This position will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accurate inventory levels by periodic cycle counts
  • Maintaining an Excel based parts demand system
  • Creating purchase requirements with quantities, styles and due dates
  • Creating work orders for sub-assembly and top assembly builds
  • May help source and implement MRP system

Our ideal candidate has:

  • BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Business, preferred
  • APICS certified, preferred
  • Five + years’ experience as a senior level production planner
  • Familiarity with production methods (machining, castings, moldings, weldments, coatings)
  • Use of purchased MRP systems and/or manual/in-house MRP systems
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Must be well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Intermediate Excel User
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

We are looking for an Assembly Technician to assemble mechanical subsystems utilizing basic tools and standard work instructions and methods in an assembly line environment. In addition, work in a team environment on rotating assembly stations to build/test Altwork Stations, collect all required assembly data and perform necessary transactions.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Hand assembly of precision metal, plastic, formed parts into subassemblies using hand tools and power drivers
  • Part and functional checks on assemblies to assure proper performance
  • Movement and positioning of subassemblies onto line for full chair build up
  • Communications and feedback to the team on any problems in assembly
  • Quality assurance performance
  • Review of part specification relative to supplier COC and definition of inspection criteria to assure all defect materials are eliminated
  • Assist in Assembly process workmanship and quality standards development for internal production lines
  • Participate as directed in FRACUS and corrective action teams to analyze and resolve all quality problems

Our ideal candidate has:

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to read and understand detail workmanship instructions, dimensional part drawings and part features
  • High degree of eye hand coordination and ability to do precise repeatable builds in a timely manner with consistent results
  • Lean manufacturing experience a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand 8 hours/day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
